Everywhere I look there are rave reviews for the band Pavement. All the critics seem to love them. Well, I actually listened to them for the first time yesterday and it was sad. The guy can't sing, he doesn't even try. They're instrumental is boring, depressing.
What is so great about Pavement? Am I missing something, because it seems to me that tons of people, at least music critics, go deaf temporarily when they listen to them. Maybe it's like Phish, where you have to be high in order to aprreciate them.
